"The Iron Lady" Movie Review

"The Iron Lady" Movie Review
Review:

If you're not into pure dialogues and speeches then I'm pretty sure you'll doze off watching the movie. It's more like a historical documentary sort of thing. However if there's one thing you need to look forward to: it's Meryl Streep's acting. Her portrayal of Margaret Thatcher is simply remarkable and outstanding! I cannot imagine somebody else doing what she has achieved.

Here are some great quotes that I have learned from the movie:

"It used  to be about trying to do something. Now, it's all about trying to be something."

"One's life must matter. I cannot die washing somebody's teacup."

"Someone must force a point. Someone must say the unsayable."

"Safe and Sound"

Taylor Swift featuring The Civil Wars

Check out the trailer here: The Hunger Games Trailer

I remember tears streaming down your face
When I said, I’ll never let you go
When all those shadows almost killed your light
I remember you said, “Don’t leave me here alone”
But all that’s dead and gone and passed tonight
Just close your eyes
The sun is going down
You’ll be alright
No one can hurt you now
Come morning light
You and I’ll be safe and sound
Don’t you dare look out your window darling
Everything’s on fire
The war outside our door keeps raging on
Hold onto this lullaby
Even when the music’s gone, gone
Just close your eyes
The sun is going down
You’ll be alright
No one can hurt you now
Come morning light
You and I’ll be safe and sound
Just close your eyes
You’ll be alright
Come morning light
You and I’ll be safe and sound

Every year in the ruins of what was once North America, the evil Capitol of the nation of Panem forces each of its twelve districts to send a teenage boy and girl to compete in the Hunger Games. A twisted punishment for a past uprising and an ongoing government intimidation tactic, The Hunger Games are a nationally televised event in which “Tributes” must fight with one another until one survivor remains.

Pitted against highly-trained Tributes who have prepared for these Games their entire lives, Katniss is forced to rely upon her sharp instincts as well as the mentorship of drunken former victor Haymitch Abernathy. If she’s ever to return home to District 12, Katniss must make impossible choices in the arena that weigh survival against humanity and life against love.

THE HUNGER GAMES is directed by Gary Ross, with a screenplay by Gary Ross and Suzanne Collins and Billy Ray, and produced by Nina Jacobson’s Color Force in tandem with producer Jon Kilik. Suzanne Collins’ best-selling novel, the first in a trilogy published by Scholastic that has over 23.5 million copies in print in the United States alone, has developed a massive global following. It has spent more than 160 consecutive weeks/more than three consecutive years to date on The New York Times bestseller list since its publication in September 2008, and has also appeared consistently on USA Today and Publishers Weekly bestseller lists.
