"The Artist" wins the Oscar

The Artist is the Best Picture in the recently concluded 84th Academy Awards. It also won Best Actor for Jean Dujardin, Best Director for Michel Hazanavicius, Best Original Score and Best Design with 5 more nominations.


It's a silent French romantic comedy drama film directed by Michel Hazanavicius, starring Jean Dujardin and Bérénice Bejo. The story takes place in Hollywood between 1927 and 1932 and focuses on the relationship of an older silent film star and a rising young actress, as silent cinema falls out of fashion and is replaced by the talkies.

Personally I don't know if I can survive watching it and not sleep. After all this is the first silent movie I'd watch if ever. We'll see what happens.
